RTG Scoring System

Here at Red Thumb Gaming we thought it best to briefly explain our scoring system so you, the readers have complete clarity when reading our reviews.

5 Red Thumbs Up! – This indicates the absolute cream of the crop. We will never say a game is 100% perfect but if a game is as close to perfection as you can find (at the time of its release and our review) then we can’t help but give it the full 5 Thumbs Up.

4 and a half Red Thumbs Up! – This indicates that we think the game is a sure fire hit but not as close to perfection (at the time of its release and our review) as a 5 Thumbs Up game.

4 Red Thumbs Up! – This indicates that we think the game is very good and likely to be a hit but perhaps not with all gamer’s. At 4 Thumbs Up we recommend you check this game out, especially if you are a fan of the game type.

3 and a half Red Thumbs Up! – This indicates that we think the game is pretty good despite some issues and will likely be a game that should be tried, especially if you are a fan of the game type.

3 Red Thumbs Up! – This indicates that we think the game is good despite various issues, but perhaps give it a rent or at least play the demo (if available) before parting with your cash.

2 and a half Red Thumbs Up! – This indicates that we think the game is average and has issues that drag it down. Despite this if you are a die hard fan of the particular game series or game type then give it a rent or at least play the demo (if available) before parting with your cash.

2 Red Thumbs Up! – This indicates that we think the game is below average and has issues that really drag it down. Only die hard fans of the particular game series or game type should go near games at this level.

1 and a half to zero Red Thumbs Up! – This indicates that we think the game is bad to absolute rubbish. Games in this score range should be avoided, no matter how forgiving you are.
